Riding can be a team sport, and it is for kids age 12 and older at The Guilford Riding School. The Eventing Team is made of grooms and riders. We compete at Beginnner Novice, Novice and Training Levels in USEA Area One competitions. We make eventing easy and fun for intermediate and advanced riders--seven of our twelve school horses are eventers; the only cost is a minimal horse lease, trailering and entries--Jill does not charge for training, though eventers are required to ride twice a week to be fit. Eventers each have a groom who helps out and learns the ropes. It is rugged and challenging and exhilarating--

Just some of the other activites we offer are: Horse Shows for clients only at all levels so they can show-off their skills and win ribbons. See CALENDAR; Adults can go back to camp the last week of August in our Adult Riding Camp; Our MakeOver Day in May is an annual barn-raising style picnic; Fireside Chat Seminars are held by a blazing fire in the "lodge" in winter, (Jill lectures on buying and owning a horse); Our Halloween Horse Show is a scary and fun spookathon featuring a wild costumes class; the Holiday Stall Decorating Party transforms the stable to a magical place; and our Jumpathon For St. Jude Children's Hospital has raised over $5,000 for the charity each February.
