We can give you skills that will make you secure in the horse industry

The Residential Career course at The Guilford Riding School is different from any other working student program. you will learn the fundamentals of stable management, riding and teaching so you
can secure a higher paying job in the horse industry, or start a small lesson program
of your own.
For 16 weeks you will live in an apartment on the grounds of The Guilford Riding School, enjoying the beautiful Connecticut shoreline, daily seminars and riding lessons with Jill Walter-Robinson. You will also have hands-on experience in the stables and riding arenas. You will help with our successful Area 1 Eventing team--from trailering to coaching.
To qualify, you should be at least 17-years-old, with a High School diploma and some riding experience. We are looking for two students per session--non smoking, single and with a desire to teach. You should be comfortable in a fairly strict family environment--no overnight visitation, no alcohol, etc. An automobile is permitted, and if you have a horse you would like to bring, we will provide a stall and turnout as part of your tuition.
